We would like to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The following guidelines should give you an easy to follow introduction to our facilities and house rules.
Check-in: Generally, between 2-6pm. Please send a text to 0413 306 678 when you are about 10 minutes away so we can make sure we’re there to check you in and give you a short induction to the Lodge.
Check-out: Between 8 and 10am unless otherwise confirmed. Please let us know when you are ready to leave.
SERVICES
Linen and Cleaning: In case you are staying 7+ nights, staff will enter the Lodge to clean the rooms. Please be aware that we do not change linen unless requested for long stays. Should you want to have your linen changed on a daily basis, this can be arranged at an extra charge.
Rags: There are rags under the kitchen sink to use for mopping up spills or drying off animals.
Espresso Machine: Make sure the water container is filled. Press button on top for power. 3 Buttons on the front light up. Press bottom button first to cleanse and heat the cup. Insert the capsule under the lever and press the middle button for cappuccino, or top button for espresso.
Health & Beauty Treatments: Professional massage therapist needs to be booked ahead of time to ensure availability (from $120).
Spa/Sauna/Tennis Package: This package incurs an extra charge of $60 for stays between 1 and 7 days. You may decide on check in whether you wish to avail yourself of this package. If so, we take payment via credit card. Use of spa and sauna are subject to induction on arrival. Depending on outside temperature, the spa may take a few hours to heat up. The spa needs to be turned off when not in use. Children must be supervised at all times!
Tennis: The use of tennis court and gear are subject to weather. It can be used from 8am to 8pm. Flood lights can be used between 6pm and 8pm.
Parking: Free parking is available for 2 cars under cover (max height 2.1m).
Free Wi-Fi: is available
Fireplace: You are very welcome to use the fireplace in the winter months, however, when stocks are low, we may not have wood available.
TV (Foxtel): Press ON/OFF button on TV remote and use 2nd remote control (Foxtel remote) to change the channels and volume.
Cancellation Terms: Full refund for cancellations 30 days or more before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days or more before check-in. Between 7 – 30 days of check-in 50% refund. If cancelled within 7 days of check-in, no refund.
HOUSE & DOG RULES
Dogs: Garasu Lodge is dog friendly. The dog can stay inside provided it is house trained. It cannot sleep in beds or on other furniture. We do NOT have a grassed area for the dog; however, the house is fenced to keep the dog secure. The dog is not allowed on the Tennis Court, Spa or Sauna. We ask that you take the dog to relief itself to the reserve across the road. DO NOT LET YOUR PET USE OUR GARDENS FOR ITS CONVENIENCE. Any damage to plants and garden must be paid for.
Children: Children are welcome; however, they must be supervised at all times. Any evidence of misbehaviour could result in deductions from the Security Deposit.
Entertaining: Due to council noise restrictions outdoor entertaining is restricted to 10pm.
Biocycle: Please be aware that all waste-water is connected to a biocycle (domestic environmental waste-water system). Please do not use any cleaning products such as bleach and/or other strong chemicals. Ladies, please do not flush personal hygiene products and wipes down the toilet as these are not biodegradable and will block the system immediately which will incur a hefty repair deduction off the refundable Security Deposit.
Flyscreens: Please keep fly screens closed at all times. We are in Queensland and you would not like unwelcome visitors inside the house.
Non Smoking: The house is a non-smoking area. Any evidence of smoking inside will incur a $300 cleaning charge. Should you wish to smoke outside please use the sand pots to extinguish cigarettes.
Refundable Security Deposit (RSD): A refundable deposit of $300 will be charged on arrival.
Air-conditioners: Do not operate air-conditioners unless all windows and doors are closed. The main unit in the living area on top of the stairs and the separate unit in the main bedroom are both reverse cycle heaters as well. They take approximately 30 seconds to switch off, so do not keep pressing the button.
Hot Water: The house is connected to solar hot water. In case the water is not hot enough on a rainy day, you find the OVERRIDE BOOSTER SWITCH in the cabinet under the stairs. Takes ½ hour. Only use briefly.
Guest Comments: Please let us know how you enjoyed your stay and if in your opinion we could make improvements. A guest book for your comments is left on the table. A review via your booking site is also appreciated.
